Before treatment

Topical collagen creams and oral supplements artificially add collagen and rely on the body to transport nutrients to the skin. HArmonyCa® is an injectable, placing ingredients directly where they are needed and supporting your body’s own collagen production.1,2

Other facial aesthetic injectables can work in different ways, including by attracting and binding water to add volume, or temporarily “freezing” facial muscles to lessen the appearance of wrinkles. HArmonyCa® is a dual-action formula that combines hyaluronic acid and calcium hydroxyapatite, which provides an immediate lift and stimulates collagen production for firmer and tighter skin.2–5

If you are affected by any of the following or another condition that may make HArmonyCa® unsuitable, your healthcare practitioner would consider another treatment to meet your needs:*,5

  • If you have a known sensitivity to any of the product components (including steroids) or history of anaphylactic reactions and/or multiple severe allergies.
  • If you suffer from skin disease or abnormal skin conditions, or are susceptible to keloid formation, hypertrophic scarring or developing inflammatory skin conditions.
  • If you currently have an infection or inflammation (either acute or chronic) at or near the area you wish to be treated.
  • If you have any medical conditions or are taking any medicines which can impair your ability to heal.
  • If you are breastfeeding or pregnant. 
  • If you are below the age of 18.

Treatment process

HArmonyCa® can be used in the midface (cheek and malar areas), lateral face, and jawline. During your consultation with your healthcare practitioner you will be able to discuss your concerns and treatment goals. Your healthcare practitioner will then create a treatment plan based on your needs and advise you on what you should do before and after your treatment with HArmonyCa®.5,6

Before you undergo any treatment, your healthcare practitioner will review your history, goals, and the region in which you wish to be treated to create a treatment plan tailored for you.

Following your treatment, you may see an immediate lift, and within one week, new collagen can start to form in the treated areas.6,7

When receiving facial injectable treatments, many people can achieve their desired outcome within one treatment, but this varies, and you may wish to receive follow-up treatments to maximize your results.

Post-Treatment

HArmonyCa® is well tolerated, with a low risk-benefit profile. But as with any product, you may experience some short-term side effects such as swelling, pain, tenderness, and itching.5,8

HArmonyCa® contains lidocaine, a mild local anaesthetic, to make your treatment more comfortable.5

These short-term side effects are often mild and typically get better within 24–48 hours, while swelling may take up to a week to completely resolve. You can apply an ice pack or cold compresses to the treated area as per your healthcare practitioner's instructions post-treatment in order to reduce redness, swelling, and irritation.5

If you experience any common side effects which do not resolve within the typical time frame or which get worse, or if any other adverse event occurs, you should promptly report it to the attending medical practitioner.5

Your healthcare practitioner will advise you to avoid strenuous activity, exposure to sunlight, and tanning lamps or extreme weather conditions for 24 hours post-treatment in order to reduce redness, swelling and irritation. You may wish to apply an ice pack or cold compresses to the treated area as per your healthcare practitioner’s instructions post-treatment in order to reduce redness, swelling and irritation.5

You should allow at least 4 weeks between ultrasound-based treatments, laser, or peeling treatments and the use of this product.*,5

You can return to work and resume most daily activities on the same day as your treatment with HArmonyCa®. Normally, you will need to wait 24 hours after your treatment with HArmonyCa® before doing high-intensity exercise or activities. Common side effects usually resolve within 24–48 hours, and any swelling should resolve in under a week.*,5
